CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING
H.B. Central Gnn Club A well-attended shoot took place on Satnrday at the- Hawke's Bay Central Uun Club's girounds at Longlands. The weather was fine, with a steady breeze, and favourable sbooting condition s prevailed throughout the afternoon. An encouraging nuinber of young shooters competed in the matches, and it m to be hoped that their participation in the shoots will continue through the season and that their numbers will increase. Those- shooters successful in winning prize-money were as follow: — J. Milis., D. JM. Campbell H. Howlett, E. Groome, B. Franklyn, and S. Morrm. Other competitors included T. V. Morrin, R. Angus, J. Longstaffe. T. Kelly, R. Symons^ G. W. Cotterill, 1'. Hoadley and M. Hoadley. A very enjoyable afternoon tea was provided by Mrs D. M. Campbell and was inueb appreciated by all.
