MR CHRISTIE'S STATEMENT

Aocording to an earlier statement by Mr H. M. Ghristie, M.P. for Waipawa, an investigation intO tbe office administration of ihe Waipawa Hospital Board is at present being cairied out by an officer of the Health Department and a report of the findinge will be mad© to the Difector-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt. "Any action to be taken will depend upon that report," said Mr Ghristie, "but I am prepared to say that I will press for a ministerial inquiry into thfe whole matter, in which case fuil opportunity will be given to anyone who has definite evidence to offer. "It would be unwise for me to make any further statement at present, but I can say I have been in communication with the Minister for some months regarding certain phases of hospital administration generally, as I have considered that in several directions there is a definite need for tightening up."
