STOCK DRIVE TO BE HELD
Funds For Plunket Society and Toc H (From Our Own Correspondent) WAIPUKURAU, This Pay. Representatives of Ihe Waipukurau men's branch of the Plunket Society and members of tae Too H. met last night for the purpose of making preliminary arrangements for a stock drive instead of the usual gymkhana, for the purpose of raising funds. It was agreed that the territory should be divided into districts, and an organisei appointed for ea*®., each organiser to be authorised to appoint assistants. Mr I. W. N. Mackie was appointed chairman and treasurer, and Colonel A. S. Wilder organising secretary. ' The foHowing district organisers were appointed: — Lindsay Settlement, Mr Gr. Davey ; Mangatera, Mr H. R. Peacock ; W aipawa-Onga-Tikokino, a Plunket representative to he appointed by the chairman; Porangahau, Messrs J. Or mond junv. ttnd J. McLean ; Farm road, Mr B. Boyes; Wanstead-Middleton road-W aipukurau, S?r R. P. Wilder; Flemington-Lake Station-Torerere-Ha-tuxna turji off, Messrs H. Rohinson and U. Dalby; Hatuma-Marakeke-Waipuku-rau, Messrs C. Schroder and. A. W. Kdbblewhite. . . Mr H. Martin was appointed. to arrange a holding paddock and it was decided that all stock should be in time for the sale on Marchi-2. It was" resolved that whei^ desired cash .donation might be made in lieu of stock.
