CLUB CRICKET Evans 138 Not Out, Burns lll,Reancy96 UNITED OUT CHEAPLY The absence of the Hawke 's Bay senior eleven at Gisborne on Saturday made little difference to the seriea of high team and individnal scores which have marked senior matches in the Napier-Hastings senior cricket competition during the past few weeks. The match at Nelson Park, Napier, between Technicaa O.B. and Hastings H.S.O.B. saw Technical at stumps with 378 on the board for the loss of seven wickets and E. Evans nndefeated with 138 to his credifc. Other large scores were 111 by Burns in the same innings and 96 by H. E. L Reaney for Napier H.S.O.B. against Hastings. Two games of the new series were played in Napier. In one of them, Technical have established a firstinnings score of seven for 378 against Hastings H.S.O.B., and in the othej1 Napier H.S'.O.B. are all out for 215, with Hastings one for 29 in reply. In the only Hastings match thcre was very poor scoring." Rugby hold an advantage . of 33 runs over United on the first innings. Rugby scored 99 and United 66. Napier junior matches were ' jaarkod by high scoring. P. Bowling for Old Boys against the Colte, Gray took five for 13 and performed the hat-trick.
