Heretaunga Competitors in Form CARNIVAL LAST NIGHT Despite the keen atmosphere, the weekly club night carnival of the Heretaunga Swimming and Life-Saving Club held on Friday night attracted a big attendance of both spectators and competitors. The programme was again a varied one, providing first-class( entertainment, and with the championships now approachiaig, competitors are in excellent form. The results of the various events were as follow: — Junior boys' handicap, 50 yards. — First heat: Mclvor (II) 1, Garnett 2, Downey 3; time, 46 3-5. Second heat: Peters 1, Drummond 2, Shaw 3; time, 33 2-5. Final: Peters 1, Mclvor ( i i 2, Drummond 3; time, 35secs. Second distance Crooks Cup, 50 yards. — Ashman 1, Doggett 2, O. Wrightson 3.
