Committee Welcomes New Headmaster

_ WAIPUKURAU, Last night, The new headmaster of the Waipukurau High School, Mr. V. Parsons, and Mrs. Parsons, were weleomed by the school committee at its monthly meeting. Mr. ,C. F. 'Haycock, chairman, presided over Messrs. F. Sayliss, hon. secretary, J. White, V. King, T. Spencer, L. Renner and V. Parsons, headmaster. Apologies were received from Messrs. F. Frost and J. Blair. The headmaster congratulated the committee on the exeellent state of the grounds and school buildings. A letter from the Hawke's Bay Education Board authorised the committee to spend £20 1/- out of its general funds for the formation of an assembly ground for the infant department. The committee approved of the appointment of Miss D. Marfell as probationary aissistant on the staff of the high school,
