KOTEMAORI MEETING

The January meeting of the Kotemaori Women's Institute was hqld last Thursday, Mrs Moran presiding. The meeting opened with the Institute song and much business waB dealt with. Mrs

Moran, on behalf of the members, extended a hearty welcome Ijome to Miss Haliburton who has recently ^returned fxom a visit to Scotland and was presented with a pretty posy. The competition results were as follow- Gingerbread. — Miss Haliburton 1, Mrs Foster and Mrs Hilliard 2 equal; best child's garment from something old. — Mrs Harris 1, Mrs Foster 2. Mrs. . Harris was Ihe winner of the amusement competition. Mesdames Moran and PaXspns served a dainty afternoon tea and the meeting closed with the singing of tbe National Anthem.
