Mrs C. H. Martin, of Hastings, is Visiting Wellington. Mr W. K; Dallas, assistant direbtor bf horticulture, who has been visiting Gisborne, arrived at Hastings yesterday, spending a day or two here before returning to Wellington. Mr H. H. Stirling rCturned to Wellington yesterday after a six fifonths} stay in Australia. Knowles Smith, of Woodville, who is visiting Hastings, will bccup'y the pulpit of the Methodist ChurCh at bbth serviceS to-mOrrow. Mr Hnowles Smith is accompanied by his wife, and both are the guests of Mr and Mrs R. j. Doufalbday. Mr H. Digby Smith, the Gommissionbr of Penfeions, is to visit Napier on February 10, wnen he will discuss with |)ensioners and appiicauts for pensions any matters they may wish to bring before him. Captain Eric G. Stewaft, who was lost when piloting an aerbplane in the Irish Channel during a gale last week, Was a New Zealander. His mother, Mrs Dfiricftfi Stewart, lires at Kaikohe, and he was a newphew of Mrs H. Douglas, of Hamilton. Dr. J. J. Foley, medical superintendent at the Napier Fublic Hospital, has returned to Napier. He will resume duty next week. During his absence from Napier, Dr. Foley 's duties have- been carried out by Dr. A. G. Cliark. Dr. G. R.
