Tikokino Carrier Gaoled

WAIPAWA, This day. On a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle William Oliver, carrier, Tikokino, was convieted and sentenced tq 14 days' iinprisoninent and his driver'is license endorsed, by Mr. J. Miller, S.M., in the Waipawa Magistrate's Court yesterday. Defendant, who entered a plea bf guilty, was represented by Mr. C. G. E. Harker. Constable Moss represented the police, and stated that defendant had been previously warned twice. On a further charge of carting stock at night without holding the necessary permit Oliver was convieted and discharged. D. Martin, on the information of Traffic Inspector W. E. Yates, was convieted and fined 10/- with costs 10/for riding a bicycle at night witliout a light.
