(Received 29, 8.45 a.m.) ADELAtDE, Jan. 24. The match between England and South Australia was .resuxned in brilliant sunshine. i'ishiock reeeived a broken bone in tne right hand While batting on Friday and he will be out of the game for several weeks. He did not field on Saturday. Wyatt did not last long, being beaten by the pace of the ball in CJotton's fifsf over and he was out leg-hefoxe. He demonstrated that he should be fit to open for England in the foufth TeSt» Allen played a fine knock. He was the only one of England 's later batsinen to take the offensive against the spin bowlers. The South Australian attack was right on the spot and did not give one run away. Ryan did not get a wicket but the batsmen were pinned to the crease while Grimtnett did the damage. Grimtoett Was back t& the fdtm that made him the terror of batsmen in.all cohntries in past years. The Test team has been chosen but the selectors could do worse than put Grimmett in. Cotton's form was impressive and it wili be no surprise if he plays in the Test if McCormick is not fit. Bradman^ eaused surprise by opening with Walker, usually a tail-ender. Walker rose to the»occasion and gave a great display against England' s fast attack. The bowlers ate getting a taste of; the easy-paced wicket they are likeiy to experience in the Test. The wicket, was no help and Ryan and Walker handled them With impunity and raced the clock throughout their partnership. Ihe first 30 wore scored in 52 minutes and the second came in 39 mintttes. Badcock was right out of luck and could not get off the devil'S number. He seemed to be sighting the ball weA but snicked a fast one from Voce an Ames took a nice catch. Ryan was lucky with snicks and later he placed his sh'ots well. He was at the wicket for 71 minutes and hit eight fours. Bradman after batting a short time strained Ms groin and was given a runner. He went out making » wildV shot Off Barnott, the Seventh buwier tried. The attendance was 19,682' and the takings amounted to £1143. Bradman's drawing power was shown by the fact that hundreds left the gronnd before he had returned to the pavilion. Scores— ENGLAND.
