Hobbs Judges Players On Their Displays S. AUSTRALIAN MATCH

(By

(Copyrigkt in'all eountries. Repyoduetion in whole or any part forbidden). ADELAIDE, Jan. 25. Commenting on Saturday's play in the England v. South Australia match, J. B. Hobbs says: It is a pity that Wyatt did not get goifig again. I wanted to see him against fast bowlers while they were fresh, becanse it seems that he will play in the fourth Test. He is certainly showing form superior to either Fagg or Worthington, but there is doubt about his arm standing the strain of an opening fast attack. South Australia started at a faster pace than England. Badcock, who is in Australia 's' twelve for the fourth Test, had to get runs to get his place and 1 (should imagine he will be twelfth man unless he can re-establish himself in the second innings. I was disappointed that he did not succeed in this garae, because he is a really good player who should have been in the Test team alJ the time. Ryan madg many good shots, bui augmented his score with snicka on both sides of the wicket. Bradman was handieapped by a leg injury and could not move to get at Verity. After his dismissal the batting was slow. Farnes, who bowled well, completely beat Bradman once. Voce did not bowl at his top but the others were at their best and there was a keen atmosphere about the cricket.
