Mrs Lucy Harriet Downes
The death occurred at her residence in Is.ennedv road, Napier, on Wednesday of Mrs Lucy Harriet Downes, wife of Mr E. Downes} of Napier. The late Mrs Downes, who was born at Oxford, in the South Island, and had lived in Napier for the past 40 years, was a Well-known lady and her many kindly acts endeared her to a large circle of friends. During the war the deceased took an active part in caring for sick soldiers, and her passing will be tieeply mourned. To niourn their loss are fout &ons, Messrs Herbert Downes, England, E. G.
