Mr Cecil Brawning
Tha death took place yesterday at tha Napier Ho&pital at the age of £1 v'car.s oi Mr CeciJ Browning, lately of the Post and Telegraph Department. Napier. The late Mr Browning had been in poor health for some time, and on Mondaj last his illness took' a serious, turn, and his removal to the hospital .ias necessary. Tbe early breakdown in his health as iio doubt largely due to his wi; experientfcs. having served in the New Zealana Expeditionary Force in Egypt and. Pranc© and more particular-
ly at P&ssckendaele, where he was severely wounded. During the time he had been a member of the staff of the G.P.O. Napier, he had been extremely popular. He was also prominent in the affairs of the 1'resbyterian Church, being an elder of the St. Paul's congregation and aii entbiisiastic member of the dunday f-chool staff. To mourn his liss le leaves a widow and young son, to whom will be extended the condolences of a large section of the community.
