Napier Delegates in Gisborne

GISBORNE, Jan. 21. The forthooming regatta was discussed when the, committee of the East Coast Rowing Association met in tho committee room of the Gisborne Rowing Club. A letter from the secretary of the Napier Rowing Club stated that the Napier delegates were in accord with the holding oi a meeting of the association in Napier on Febfuary 12, ; the night before the one-day regatta to be rowed on the Ngaruroro River. Mr C. Poynter, Napier, wrote accepting the position as selector for the association in connection with the Empire Games selection of crews for Australia. The secretary' s resignation was received with regret. Mr Mahon was appointed to fill the position. It was decided to close the nominations for erews taking part in the oneday regatta at Napier on February 13. on January 29. . Applications from the affiliated clubs for the use of the eight-oar boat in the cbampionship regatta at Wellington on Easter Saturday will be received up to January 29.
