CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 20. Tbere were good entries at to-day' s Addington market and a steady sale. —Store lambs.— About 6000 were penned. Ewe lambs made to 29/6 and best wethers to 25/2. Fat lambs : 2400 wer penned. The quality was indifferemt, but for good export lambs, full sehedule rates of up to 9d per lb. were paid. Best lambs made "from 30/- to 34/-, good 28/fca 29/6, and medium 25/- to 27/6. Fat sheep.— A large entry of wethers maintained last week's values, but ewes were dearer by 1/6 a head, due to the export demand. Best wethers made 28/6 to 35/-, medium tq good 26/- to 28/-, ordinary down to 21/-, best ewes 24/- 'to 29/-, medium 22/- to 23/6, ordinary 18/- to 21/-. Fat cattle — 470 penned, includiug some prime lines of young cattle. The market was siightly easier than a week ago. Best beef made from 32/- to 35/per 1001b. ; good 29/- to 31/- and ordinary down to 26/-. Extra prime heavy steers made to ^£15 2/6 ; prime heavy £12 to £14; prime medium weight £11 5/- to £12 10/-; ordinary steers £9 to £10 15/-; extra prime heifers to £11 17/6; prime £9 to £10; medium £6 to £8 5/-; extra prime cows to £11 2/6; prime £7 to £8 10/-, medium £5 to £6 15/-. Pigs. — - A normal entry and little change in values. About 200 were bought for export. Porkers mad© from 34/6 to 49/6; average prioe per lh 6d to 6£d. Baconers made from 49/6 to £3 17/6, average price per lb., 5^d to 6d.
