Hxtra choice ox sold to 34/- ; choice and prime 30/- to 33/- j secondary and plam 27/- to 30/-; prime cow and heifer 29/to 3i/-; ordinary 18/- to 28/-. Extra heavy steers made from £13 to £14 j heavy £12 to £13; medium £10 12/6 to £11 15/-; light £9 10/- to £11; uniinished £6 to £9 10/-. Extra heavy cows and heifers made from £9 10/to £11 7/6; heavy £7 10/- to £9 10/-; medium £6 10/- to £8 7/6; light t.o £6 15/-; unfinished £2 15/- to £5; Small entries and higher values characterised all seotions of the sheep sale and prices improved up to 2/- per head, although good quality sorts were scarce. Heavy weathers made 28/6 to 34/9; merium 26/- to 27/6; light 24/9 to 27/-; unfinished 20/- to 24/9; heavy ewes 19/6 to 22/9; lighter 17/- to- 20/- ; unfinished 5/- to 18/- ; extra heavy lambs 29/- to '31/3; heavy 25/- to 27/-; medium 23/6 t° 25/9 ; light 22/- to 23/9 ; unfinished 10/9 to 21/6. Calf values rose shargly, recovering the amount of the decline recorded last week, Ip. a much smailer offering, fair quality was available. Rpnners made £3 to £7 11/-; heavy vealers £4 4/- to £5 7/-; medium £3 8/- to £4 7/-; light £2 10/- to £3 10/-; smailer £2 to £2 10/-; unfinished and bucketfed £1 2/- to £15/-; bobby and rough 5/- to £1 10/-. Pig prices wewe firmer by about 2/all round, although porkers failed to recover the drop caused by the depressed expqrt buying last week on account of the freezing workers' dispute. Choppers made £1 16/- to £3 5/- ; heavy baconers £3 U'/- to £3 17/-; medium £3 5/- to £3 10/-; light £2 19/- to £3 3/-; heavy porkers £2- 13/- to £2 17/-; medipm £2 8/- to £2 11'/-; light £2 to £2 5/-: small and unfinished £1 10/- to £2 2/- ; stores £1 2/- to £1 10/- ;
slips 15/- to 21/-; .weaners 4/- to 16/-; [ sows due to farrow, £1 15/- to £4 15/-; baconers averaged 6d lb. and porkers 6*d.
