PRETTY WEDDING HELD AT NAPIER
St. John's Oathedral, Napier, was the scene of a pretty wedding on January 15, when Moira Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holt, of Cameron road,, Napier, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Allan Frederick, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Lee, of Riccarton, Christchurch. The Very Rev. Dean Brocklehurst performed the ceremony. Friends of the bride and Mr. A. J. Anderson had tastefully decorated the church with pink hydrangeas, - and the chancel with palms and begonias. The bride, who was given away by her father, lo.oked particularly attractive in a frock of egg-shell tinted needlerun lace over satin souple, which was cut on classieal lines and moulded to the figure. The long sleeves covering the hands were tight-fitting and finished with satin loops and buttons from elbow to over the wrist. Buttons and loops also finished the baek of the bodice from neek to waist. The billowy silk tulle veil in the same toning as the gown, was held in place with a halo of tulle and orahge blossems. She carried a pretty bouquet of pink carnations, begonias, stehpanotis, azaleas, and maidenhair fern. Miss Marili Clapcott, who was the only bridesmaid, wore an attractive frock of rose pink" organdie over satin made with a skirt fully flared from the waist, and a plain-fitting bodice' with tucked balloon sleeves; a silver girdle marked the waist line. Silver sandals were worn and a silver band with' a cluster of pink rosebuds at one side adorned the hair. She carried a beautiful bouquet of carnations in shades of pink. Mrs. Robert Holt, the bride's mother, was attractivply gowned in figured navy silk ensemble with hat and shoes to tone. She carried a lovely bouquqet of deep red 'carnations, roses and fuchsia to tone. " The bouquets, which were the work of Mrs. Andrew Anderson, .were very much admired. The duties of best man were capably carried out by Mr. H. R. Holt. After the ceremony a reeeption was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holt, Cameron road, the rooms being prettily decorated with piuK hydrangeas. The usual toasts were honoured. The wedding cake, which was prominently displayed on the bride's table, was made by Mrs. W. Fraser, an aunt of the bride. The happy couple left on their honeymoon trip in the north, and the bride was attired in a navy blue and white ensemble, with navy hat and shoes to tone. The young couple will make their home at Marewa.
