Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Manning leave Napier to-day for Stratford, where Mr. Manning will take up a new position with the Public Works Department. Mr. Manning, who has been stationed with the Departemnt at Napier, has been transferred on promdtion to the position of Inspector of Plent a± Stratford, and. was the recipient of a presentation from his fellovv officers of the department at Napier yesterday. .Miss Majorie Nelson, of Woodville, who has spent a short lioliday in Napier, returned to her hoine yesterday.
