Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Manning leave Napier to-day for Stratford, where Mr. Manning will take up a new position with the Public Works Department. Mr. Manning, who has been stationed with the Departemnt at Napier, has been transferred on promdtion to the position of Inspector of Plent a± Stratford, and. was the recipient of a presentation from his fellovv officers of the department at Napier yesterday. .Miss Majorie Nelson, of Woodville, who has spent a short lioliday in Napier, returned to her hoine yesterday. Mrs. A. J. Park and Miss K. Park, Oriental Bay, Wellington, are visitors at» Hillsbrook Guest House, Havelock North. Miss K, Lucena, The Terrace, Wellington, who has- been on a short -Visit to Mrs. S. Ayling, Napier, returned home to-day Mrs. E. A. Fenwick senr., Goldsmith road, Napier, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs. McMaster, at Martinborough. I Miss M. Wallis is an Auckland visitor I to Napier. Mrs. W, Mitchell, Alexander street, Hastings, left this morning to spend a lioliday at Tauranga. Mrs B. Tapp, Milestone, Havelock North, has gone to Wellington for the race festivities. She will be away about a fortnightMrs T. H. Lowry, Okawa, and Mrs J. N. Lowry, Oreka, Hastings, are visitors to Wellington for tlie racesl Mr and Mrr, Charles Roberts, Selkirk, Scotland, and Miss Marie Stead, St. Aubyn street, Hastings, motored from Wellington to Napier yesterday.
