JOLLY DANCE HELD IN WAIMARAMA HALL
WIND-UP TO SPORTS MEETING The Waimarama Hall was the scene of a very jolly dance on Saturday night when the Waimarama Sports Club held their annual dance as a fitting wind-up to the sports meeting held that day. Despite the rain which fell early in the evening there was a good attendance of residents and visitors to the dietrict. The dance arrangemenfcs were in the capable liands of Messrs J. Steenson, E. Long, C. and M. Hart, C. Fletcher, and G. McQuilkan, and Lew Munro's orchestra supplied the music. A dainty supper was served by the ladies and Mrs J Steenson was responsible for the artistic decorations of the supper tables. Among those present were: — Mrs H. McNeill, frock of blue floral drop-stitch voile. -Mrs R. August, black taffeta. Mrs Bathgate, pink and black check frock. Mrs Little, blue georgette and laec. Mrs G. Cook, black and red floral frock. j Mrs Blythe, black frock. , Mrs Wi Gillies, black frock. Mrs J. Lambie, red georgette. Mrs V. Long, navy flgured silk. e Mrs S. Wenley, green georgette. Mrs J. Steenson, black and red floral frock. Mrs J. Dexter, brown flgured silk Mrs H. Browning, pretty floral frock. Mrs J. Gunn, brown frock. Mrs D. Taylor, floral crepe suede. Miss Patty Hart, black frock with coloured yoke. Miss Phil. Hart, dainty pink chenille and georgette frock. Miss Joyce Little, red and white flgured muslin. Miss Muriel Baddiley, white organdie with a xed sash. Miss Mary Palmer, green silver che'cked taffeta. Miss Betty Gilray, blue taffeta, with a darker blue sash. Miss Joyce Long, apricot satin beaute frock. Miss Dulcie Long, navy and white floral silk. Miss Marjorie Gillies, dainty pink taffeta t frock. Miss Jessie Edgecombe, apricot taffeta. Miss Elgar Christie, floral frock, red sash and big red bow at back. Miss Kitty McQuilkan, black and silver frock Miss Margaret Bell, red spotted silk. Miss Tangi Oriki, black frock with red spray. Miss Maudie Mohi, pretty pink flowered silk. Miss Ivy Taggart, red and white floral frock. Miss Molly Jefferd, black frock. Miss Hunter, green florql silk. Miss Jessie Wilson (Wellington), flgured black frock. - Miss Trixie Hargreaves (Wellington), coffee lace. Miss Jeannette Mortimer (Wellington), black frock. Miss Marjorie Gunn, cream silk frock.
