A middle-weight professional boxing contest between Twist daggers (Wellington) and Ena<nk Pirendergaist (Invercairgill) resulted in a win on points for daggers. It was not a good match, the contrast in styles and differences in height and weight militating against a good display, daggers took the ring at 10.8 and Plrendergast at 10.3*. A special amateur bout between J. Mansfield (Wellington champion) and Bill Pasco (Southland champion) resulted in a win for Alans field on points after a. thrilling bout packed with hard fighting.
