DE VALERA.
POLICE PREVENT MOBBING. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Oct. 28. De Valera was conveyed to prison in the'“Black Maria.” The crowd booed him outside the station, and there were some cries of “Put a bullet into him.” Only the presence of the police prevented. De Valera from being mobbed. It is expected that he will he detained till after the election, and later will be charged under the Civil Powers Act, under which he is liable to the maximum of two years’ imprisonment.
