r( . The Farmers’ Co-op. Organisation •society report: At Auroa on Friday we had a small yarding. Store cattle sold well. In the dairy pens heifers lacked condition and were hardly forward enough for buyers. Sales made were as follows: Fresh conditioned cows, £4,105, £4, £3 Gs; yearling heifers, £2 15s, £2 4s, £2 Is, smaller £1 18s; dairy heifers, £6, £7 5s to £8; later sorts, £4 10s to £5. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. (Hawera branch), report: On Thursday, 11th inst., we held our usw' 1 fortnightly Hawera sale. To a big attendance of buyers Ave offered a good yarding, particularly of dairy cattle. Competition Avas keen, especially ’for heifers and coavs of good qualit3 r , condition and close to profit. Practically the whole yarding AArns disposed of and a \ r ery good sale resulted. • We, quote: Good fat coavs, £7 10s to £8 ss; light fat Hereford heifers, £6 15s; forward cows, £3 15s to £5; stores and boners, 15s to 355; forAvard and fair conditioned 4 and 5vear .bullocks, £6 3s; others, £3 to £5 10s; yearling heifers, good and medium, £2 16s, small and medium ditto, 35s to £2 2s 6d; store pigs, 35s to £2 ss; good quality heifers (close to profit), £lO 10s to £ls, small ditto and poorer condition, £6 to £9; fair coavs, £7 to £10; old and inferior sorts, £3 to £5; calved heifers, £3 to £7 10s; backward heifers, £4 to £7.
