BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.

(To the Editor.) Sii, I would like to refer to some of the statements made by your correspondent “Father of Four” on the above subject. I admit there ar4 people within the church who are not all they ought to be, -but I would remind your coi 1 espondent tnat they represent a very small minority, and that the influence made on the world by the majority is greater by far than that of the minority. From the tone of your correspondent’s lament on his business deal, ings with Christians one cannot help thinking that they have not, from ms point of view, been altogether successful. Surely “Father of Four” does not imagine that his personal experience in business dealings with Christians proves that business and Christianity cannot work together. What' the world is in most need of to-day is a better understanding of the truths contained in the Bible; if we do 'not possess that understanding it is our duty to see that our children do not suffer in like manner I would advise your correspondent to study the lives of some of the world’s great men and see what the Bible and its teachiims has meant to them. , I maintain that one of the best ways of saving the future generations from moral ruination is to give them the opportunity of studying the Bible through the agency of the day school.—Thanking you for .affording space,—l am, etc. CHURCH MEMBER. J lily 1, 1924.
