An Important Judgment.

lIVr Press Assorid^/o/i.) Wellington, This day. At the Supreme Court to-day Judge Edwards gave judgment in the case Franklin v. King. The plaintiff bought a piece of land near Otaki, and as the tide deeds turned out to bo a forgery he claimed £-">0o damages. His Honor gave judgment for defendant, saying the plaintiff bought the land with his eyes open, being fully aware that the title was illegal.
