Total for 7 wickets 324 The rain the previous night appear to assist the bowlers. M'Laren and Storer gave fine displays of cricket, though the former had a couple of lives —the first when his total was 96 and the second at 328. This day. The Englishmen are all out for 835. Bowling analysis: Howell, Ofor 35 ; Noble, 5 for 111 ; Coningham, 0 for 48 ; M'Kibbin, 5 for 138. Later. At lunch time N.SAV. had no wickets down for 62. Gregory 40, Donnen 22. VICTORIA v. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Adelaide, Nov. 12. There was fine weather for the match Victoria v. South Australia, and a splendid wicket had been prepared. The visitors in their first innings compiled 159 runs. Jones and Giffen were most destructive with the ball, the former securing five wickets for 79 and the latter five for 60. At the close of the day's play the local men had 88 to their credit without the loss of a wicket—Darling 29, Lyons 52, sundries 7.
