A State Ball at the Palace.

THE PREMIERS PRESENT. London, June 25. Sir Matthew Ridley expressed to Sir Edward Bridford, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, the Queen's extreme gratification at the striking discretion and tact displayed by the police during the Jubilee celebrations. A State ball was held at Buckingham Palace last night, at which all the members of the Royal family, together with the visiting foreign Princes, attended. The Colonial Premiers, the Agents-General for the various colonies, Sir Westby and Lady Perceval were also present.
