VICTORIA'S REVENUE.

THE TREASURER'S ESTIMATE NOT REALISED. Melbourne, July 28. The Treasurer's Financial Statement estimated that the present year would show a surplus of £19,000, but that anticipation was not realised, as the revenue fell short by £362.000, while the expenditure slightly exceeded the estimate. After providing for Treasury bills the deficit will be £112,000 for the year, but as July and August have yet to be reckoned with it is possible the deficit will not exceed £70,000. The accrued deficit amounts to £821,000.
