NASTY SLIGHT BY THE GOVERNMENT. London, July 27. In the House of Lords the Premier, Lord Salisbury, said the Government declined to proclaim a holiday on September 23, to celebrate the fact of the Queen's reign having exceeded that of George 111. He also said that there were many practical objections to increasing the number of bank holidays.
