THE LIBERALS HOLD A BIG MAJORITY. THE EDUCATION POLICY DEFEATS THE MINISTRY. Ottawa, June 24. The Canadian Liberals have obtained a majority of 36 at the general election. There has been a remarkable change in feeling among the.electors in the province of Quebec owing to discontent with the education policy in Manitoba. OxTAP.ro, June 23. Four Ministers were defeated in the Province of Quebec, and this turned the scale against the Ministry. The Catholic bishops supported the Government, but without avail. The anti-clerical party has secured fifty seats.
