Tranter 100 to 20 off. CUP. The following are the Cup quotations Algerion 11 to a (off). Silver Prinee 6 to 1 (off) Dunlop has been backed in thousands at prices ranging from 100 to 3 to 100 to 500 to 4. Meteor now 100 to 9 (off). Algerion and Silver Prince are even favourites at 100 to 20 (off). Dunlop has been backed for £lO,OOO at 100 to 5.
Niagra has again eome into the betting market, being taken at ICO to 12. Backers are willing to go on at that price. This morning was dull and threatening. The usual number of horses were out. Thunderbolt and Silver Prince worked together over Cop distance, and finished in 3 minutes 53 seconds. Enfilade has greatly improved, he covered the mile and a half in splendid style. Escutcheon did a strong gallop for a mile. Dunlop went twice round the tan finishing strong. Algerion and Australian Peer went mile and a half. Oakleigh has been backed to win the Cup for all tbe money in tbe market at 100 to 10. Algerian®b J Stiver Prince are both at 100 to 20 (tkn). . Trident has been backed for £4OOO at 100 to 7, and is now quoted at 100 to 8. £lOOO was taken about Abercorn's chance at 100 to 8. Dunlop has been supported to win £2OOO a*. 100 to 5. Meteor was backed to win £BOOO at ICO to 6. His best priee now is 100 to 8. £2OOO to £4O has been taken about Recall. The usual number cf h-nses were on tbe training ground this morning, but no important work was done.
