J. H. Aislabie’s Bankruptcy.

Thxbe was a good attendance of creditore at the adjourned meeting of Mr Aislabie’s creditors yesterday. Mr John McDonald, ' who was present, agreed to hand over the butchering establishment and slaughtering house to the creditors at the end of the month, the bills of sale to be treated as null arid void. This offer was accepted by the creditors, Mr Teat remarking that the arrangement was perfectly satisfactory and that it was only fair to Mr J. McDonald that he be given to the end of the month to clear up matters. Mr AHan McDonald gave a history of bis connection with the affair and stated that he had lost a large amount of money by the debtor, and he would prove in the estate for an amount of about £650.

In answer to a question the D.O.A. said the proved debts were about £430. Mr Dufaur’s claim was £4OO, and Mr A, McDonald’s £650. These, with other debts not yet proved, would amount to about £lBOO. The debtor said he thought, were the estate property handled, the creditors would suffer no loss. Were there any such loss, he would, by his individual exertions, endeavor to make it good. After some dis. cushion it was resolved that the meeting stand until Thursday next at 4 p.m., when creditors will decide whether to lease the business or carry it on themselves. Tbe Deputy Official Assignee will in the interim see the present occupiers to see if satisfactory arrangements cannot be made with them.
