Westland Racing Club’s Christmas Programme
The Westland Racing Club (Hokitika) will hold its Christmas meeting on the Hokitika racecourse on Saturday, December 18. A programme of eight events will be contested, consisting of flat, races and trotting events. Nominations close at 9. p.m. on December 6. and handicaps will be declared on December 13. Acceptances close on December 14. , The programme is:— Trial Stakes, of £115; six furlongs. Christmas Handicap Trot (harness) of £135; 2.23 class: one mile. J. J. Mclntosh Hack Handicap, of £140: one mile. Wqstland Handicap (open), of £200; one and a-quarter miles. p Kaniere Hack Handicap, of £130; six furlongs. President’s Handicap Trot (harness), of £135; 3.37 class; one and a-half miles and 63 yards. Publicans’ Handicap (open), of £150; six furlongs. Stewards’ Hack Handicap, of £140; seven furlongs.
