SPORTS HELD AT IKAMATUA

The Greymouth Motor Cycling Club held a very successful programme at Prendegast’s farm at Ikamatua yesterday. The weather was favourable, and there was a good attendance of riders, while a crowd watched the races. Allan Ash put up his best performance to date, and deserved his wins for the day. George Topp certainly showed how to handle his machine, and what he is capable of doing. Larry Cooper had a good win in the hill climb, but did not do so well in the lap races. lan Burrell showed a fair turn of speed. He amused the crowd at times. Harold Curtis put up some good performances, but his machine was not at its best. The public had quite a bit of amusement watching the novelty events, especially a few of the spills.
