Acquittal on Charge of Manslaughter
INVERCARGILL, Nov. 13. The trial of Walter Momo Fowler, an oysterman. of Bluff, on a charge of manslaughter arising out of the death of Thomas McKeown, a greaser employed on the motor vessel Fort Wyndham, concluded in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. Fowler was acquitted *arid discharged The jury retired at 3.45 p.m. and returned at 4.25 p.m. with a verdict of not guilty.
