Masterton Woman Charged with Murder of Chinese Child

P.A. MASTERTON, November 14. The body of a Chinese child, Joseph Frederick Yee Kim, aged 18 months, who had been missing from his parents’ home at Teoreore, about two miles from Masterton, since last Wednesday night, was found • this afternoon at about 3 p.rrij. by a police search party in the Ruakahanga River, about half a mile from where he lived. The body was brought to Masterton, where an inquest was opened, and, after evidence of identification, it was adjourned sine die. A post-mortem will be conducted by Dr P. P. Lynch (Wellington). After the inquest a woman was arrested by Sub-Inspector Kane and Senior Detective Gordon. She will be charged, in the Magistrate’s Court, to-morrow, with murder of the child.
