N.Z. TO HAVE CONSUL-GENERAL AT SAN FRANCISCO

(Rec. 7.0). WASHINGTON, Nov. 13. The New Zealand Embassy here announced to-day that a, New Zeaalnd Consulate-General will be established at San Francisco early in 1949, in order to meet an increased volume of consular, shipping and business activity, affecting the Dominion, on the West Coast of the United States. Mr T. O. W. Brebner, at preesnt New Zealand Consul-General in New York, has been appointed ConsulGeneral at San Francisco. Mr D. W. Woodward will succeed Mr Brebner as Consul-General in New York. Mr Woodward is at present Acting Director of the Industries Division of the New Zealand Denartment of Industries and Commerce.
