TENNIS UNITED CLUB

The United Tennis Club opened its season on Saturday. About 30 members were present. In the absence of the president, the club captain. Mr R. Hamilton, briefly addressed the gathering, welcoming the visitors and new members to the club. Declaring the 1948-49 season open, he wished all players a successful year. Although a high wind made playing conditions unpleasant, there was a good afternoon’s sporty the standard of play being high. Afternoon tea was served by a Ivomen’s committee.
