RUGBY FOOTBALL Revised Itinerary for Ail Blacks’ Tour: Dress Suits Allowed

p.A. WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. The New Zealand Rugby Union has approved the South African proposal that the All Blacks leave by the Tamaroa late in April and thus arrive in Cape Town about the middle of May. This schedule provides for the team to return by the Dominion Monarch, leaving Cape Town about September 23. ~ , x . The union has deemed that players may include dress suits in their kits if they desirse. The secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr A. F’_ Neilson,, said that the Tamaroa would be a highly suitable ship. There was ample deck space for training purposes, including a lengthy promenade deck, and the quarters would be all that could be desired. The fact that the team would arrive first at Capetown, would mean that the itinerary which New Zealand preferred of the two submitted in June, would be the one which, would be adopted. This is a different itinerary from that which a recent cable stated had been approved by the South African Union. . . The order of matches in the itinerary, which now seems certain to be adopted is:— (1) South-Western (Oudtshoorn). (2) North-Eastern (Aliwall North) (3) Orange Free State (Blomfontein). (4) Free State (Kroonstad). (5) Griqualand West (Kimberley). (6) Boland (Wellington). (7) Western Province (Capetown). (8) West Transvaal (Potchef Stroom). (9) Transvaal (Johannesburg). (10) Rhodesia (Bulawayo). (11) Rhodesia (Salisbury). (12) Eastern Transvaal (Springs). (13) Northern Transvaal (Pretoria). (14) South Africa (Johannesburg). (15) Combined Northern Universities (Johannesburg). (16) Natal (Durban). (17) South Africa (Durban), (18) Eastern Province (Port Elizabeth). (19) Border (East London). (20) South Africa (Port Elizabeth). (21) Border (East London). (22) Combined Universities (Capetown). (23) South Africa (Capetown). OTAGO NOMINATIONS FOR ALL BLACK TOUR P.A. DUNEDIN, Oct. 11 Mr A. McDonald, of Wellington, was nominated for the position of manager of the New Zealand team which wil Itour South Africa next vear by the manageemnt committee of the Otago Rugby Union to-night, and Mr V. G. Cavanagh, jnr., was nominated for the position of assistant manager.
