Final Soccer Match
The Buller Football Association’s season will officially close on Sunday with the playing of the D.C.L. Cup final between Dennistoiu and Stockton at Waimangaroa. The game, which is to start at 2.30 p.m., should attract a record attendance. Both teams nave played suond football this season, Denniston having an unbeaten record. In the last clash between these two teams a draw resulted, so on performances a great game should eventuate. The Stockton Club has now the services of G. Orman, who is occupying the full-back position. Toby Anderson is cente-half, and Fitzsimmons is inside-left. That combination should be capable of extending the Denniston team. Denniston has now M. J. Crockor at his best. This player has real class and should combine well with McNaught, the left-winger. However, the forwards, in all probability, will be Birmingham, Coates, Watson, Cockon and McNaught. This forward line is of almost representative standard and is a formidable combination, Mr J. Blyth has been appointed referee, while Messrs W. McGinty and P. Robertson will be the linesmen.
