WARDEN’S COURT SITTING AT GREYMOUTH
Sitting as Warden, Mr Rex C. Abernethy, S.M., in the Warden’s Court yesterday, dealt with several applications. Six application by Ngahere Gold Dredging Company for leave to enter and peg private lands in the Mawheranui S.D. were granted. Permission was granted the Barrytown Gold Ddredging Coy Ltd. to surrender a water race license No. 75/1940, dated June 11, 1940. Mervyn Morgan Mitchell’s application for a coal lease for 20 acres, Block I, Waiwhero S.D., was recommended for consent. Associated Gold Dredges (N.Z.) Ltd was granted an ordinary prospecting license over 100 acres Blocks IV and VIII, Waimea S.D., and two applications for ordinary prospecting licenses over 100 acres Block IV, .Waimea S.D. John Douglas Craig; was granted an ordinary prospecting license over 20 acres, section 2913, renewable lease 599, Henry Dalziel, Block VIII. Mawheranui S.D.
