TRAFFIC BREACHES IN GREYMOUTH

Several traffic breaches were dealt with by Mr Rex C. Abernethy, S.M., in Greymouth Police Court yesterday. For driving a car without a license, Norman Stanley Allen, Paroa was fined 10s and costs. William Storey Bland, Dobson, William John Methven, Elizabeth St., Greymouth and Bruce Clarence Smith Cobden, were each fined 10s and costs for riding a bicycle without a light. Ada Howell and Raymond Parmenter were each fined 10s and costs for riding a bicycle on the footpath. Lucy Ann Duffy, was ordered to pay 10s costs for attempting to cross a railway crossing when it was net clear. Ritchie Maguigan, Runanga, was fined 10s and costs for failing to have a number plate and 30s and costs for driving a car without a warrant of fitness. William James Dobbs, Ikamatua, was fined 20s and costs on a similar charge. Thomas Michael Hanna, Rdtomanu was fined 10s and costs for having no light on his car. For driving a car without due care and attention, Henry Kortegast, of Hokitika, was fined £2 and costs 235.
