GOLF N.Z. TEAM BEATS AUSTRALIA IN TEST MATCH
(Rec. 10.35) MELBOURNE, Oct. 4 The New Zealand team triumphed on the second day of their golf test match against Australia at the Royal Melbourne course to-day, by winning three singles matches and halving the ou”th. Each country had won a foursomes on Saturday, and in the final analysis, New Zealand won by four and a-half matches to one and a-half. The results of the singles to-day wore ‘ B. Silk (N.Z.) defeated A. N. Waterson (Australia; six and five. R H. Glading (N.Z.) defeated W. A. Edgar (Australia) four and two D. L. Woon (N.Z. defeated H. W. Hatterslev (Australia) five and four. J. F. Hornabrook (N.Z.) tied with D. Bachli (Australia) all square.
