LONDON, Oct. 2 At one. stage of the National Conference of Labour Women, the Minister of Health (Mt Aneurin Bevan? was reduced to blushes.

While urging the need for more midwives, Mrs Gertrude Wilson, from Doncaster, said: ‘‘l hope the Minister will appreciate that though married he is not yet a family man.” The conference laughed.
