ROUMANIA TO BE ANNEXED BY THE SOVIET
(Rec. 8.20) LONDON, Aug. 10 Rumania’s incorporation into the Soviet Union is expected to take place this month, according to the Ankara Turkish radio. Political refugees who have recently arrived in Turkey from Rumania were quoted as saying that preparations were in full progress in Rumania for a “plebiscite” on Monday, August 23, which was intended to give “popular approval to the decision. The Rumanian Parliament would then be dissolved, AnUo-n —deled.
