Buller Rugby Union
The meeting of the Management Committee of the Buller Rugby Football Union was held on Sunday. It was decided to agree to a suggestion of the West Coast Union that the date for the Seddon Shield should be altered to September 18. The charges for the Australia v Buller hockey match, and All Black Trials on Wednesday were fixed at 2s 6d (tax inclusive) for men, women 2s plus 3d tax, grandstand and enclosure Is extra, and booking fee 6d extra. Mr R. Pratt was appointed referee of the All Black Trial match, and Messrs R. Marshall and J. Morgan line umpires. Messrs V. Goodall and S. Stewart were appointed Managers of the A. and B. All Blackteams respectively. A dinner is to be given to the visiting All Black trialists and N.Z. Rugby selectors. The box plan for the Buller v Australia hockey match and the All Black trials will open on August 10 at 9.30 a.m. The Nelson Union is to be asked to submit the names of two referees for the Buller v Nelson Seddon Shield match on August 28. Rangers were granted a bye on September 4 and granted permission to travel to Christchurch to play a friendly match.
