Prison Escapee Found On Coastal Collier

Russell David Alexander Blackburn, who escaped from the Westport Gaol about 5 p.m. on Tuesday last, was recaptured' at about 5 o’clock on Saturday evening by Constable Condon, who was assisted by other members of the police force. At the time of his arrest Blackburn was concealed in ;a lifeboat on the coastal collier Kartigi. Although an extensive search had been conducted, no trace of Blackburn had> been found. It was reported that the escapee had been "in during his sojourn. He will come up before the Court at Westport this morning.
