A COW LEADS GLAMOUR GIRLS IN BEAUTY CONTEST

(Rec. 9.30) MELBOURNE, Aug. 8 A milking cow, aged five yeavs, has an excellent chance of winning a beauty contest, and with it the prize of a free air trip to Sydney and New Zealand. She is Miss Terry. She was entered by the students of Melbourne University in a contest which is being held to raise funds for world students’ relief. The students who entered Miss Terry explain that they did so because the rules did not specifically ban cows. She is now the second highest on the list of money raisers, in spite of the fact that all of the other entrants • are glamour girls, chosen by other university clubs. If she fails in claiming the first prize, the cow may win a pair of nylon stockings. Deportment and beauty are to be considered, as well as the amount raised for the fund.
