Four Footballers Injured In Week-end Matches
While playing in a third grade League match for Blackball against Marist at Wingham Park yesterday, Ronald Gardyne, of Maitai, received a nasty knock resulting in his admission to the Grey River Hospital suffering from concussion. Thomas Anderson, a Cobden senior player, was treated as an out-patient at the hospital where it was discovered he had broken two ribs.
A Adamson, an Excelsior player suffered a leg injury at Rugby Park on Saturday necessitating treatment at the Grey River Hospital. A Thomas, of Hokitika, a member of the Kiwi team injured his shoulder in a match against Stars at Rugby Park on Saturday. He was also treated as an out-patient at the Grey River Hospital.
