Reckless Driver

PALMERSTON N., June'3. Defendant was undoubtedly the worst and most reckless driver in Palmerston North. She simply charged straight at anything else on the road, and it was sheer luck that she had not had a serious accident. This comment was made by Senior Inspector L. Simmons in the Magistrate s Court, when Amy Ather Remnant, married, Palmerston North, was lined £2, and costs 10s, on a charge of driving a car without a license, the inspector added that defendant had been prohibited from obtaining a driver’s license, but had adopted a defmant attitude. He had tried to enlist the aid of Mrs Remnant s son to make her desist, but when, the subject was brought up for discussion the son was ordered out of the house.
