Invercargill Family Homeless After Fire

INVERCARGILL, May 31.

A woman and six children are homeless as a result of a fire which broke out in an old wooden house near the centre of the city on Saturday night. When the brigade arrived the house, owned by the Housing Construction Company, was well alight, and a large part of the building, together with bedding and furniture, was destroyed before the fire was got under control. This morning uie children were billetted until accommodation can be found for the family.
